Hello Team,
We have our Nagios XI server in On-Premise. We are planning to move that server to cloud (Azure).
Please help us to understand if there would be any issues with monitoring if we migrate the Nagios XI server to cloud.
Also, what all changes will be required to keep the monitoring as it is.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Kalyan,
Could you please describe the configuration you are planning?
For example - I need to monitor Azure VMs or I need to monitor
Azure VMs and local VMs....etc
How is the connection with Azure set up? Do the machines in Azure
appear to be on your LAN?
Thanks

Hello,
We have Nagios XI server on which we are monitoring many other servers. We are planning to move the Nagios XI server which currently in on-premise to cloud (Azure).
I want to understand that if we move Nagios XI server to Cloud, will there be any issues with monitoring?
Do we need to make any changes in configurations?

Hi,
The issue you will face is making sure any agents on machines monitored by Nagios
are reviewed to accommodate the new IP/hostname of your Nagios server. Any firewall
changes that were made to allow monitoring will also need to be reviewed.
With every purchase we offer 3 separate activation of XI licenses. One for production, one for testing,
and one for high availability. We always recommend upgrading on a test server first before making
changes to the production server - or in this case, use your new Azure server as a Test Server until
you have it fully configured.
Thanks
