Non-Existing Drive appears in Service Status

Hello, I am new to Nagios.

I added some Windows servers with the Windows WMI Wizard. Shortly after adding a host and services, we are seeing a Drive F: Disk Usage with an Unknown status in the Service Status screen. But when I added the service, I only added a Drive C:

We have this problem with 5 different servers. I don't know where to remove this, because if you go under services, it only shows the Drive C:

Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening?

Thanks, John

Hi John,
How are you doing?
Yes, I tested using the Windows WMI wizard and I only noticed just the "C:" drive.

Can you please check the followings:
Nagios XI GUI > Core Config Manager > Services
From here, please see if there is any service that check for drive "F" as you mentioned.

If so, please click the "View Config" icon under the "Actions" column and upload it here.
Please see example picture below:

To further investigate the issue, please upload the "profile.zip" of your Nagios XI.
Nagios XI GUI > Admin > System Config > System Profile

Hi Vinh,

No, there is no indication of the non-existent drive in the /Core Config Manager/Services section for those servers.

But it does show in the GUI/Details/Service Status screen and flagged as Unknown. (Not sure how to get images posted here)

Hi John,
Let try and see if we can find where your "Drive F:" is coming from.
Under your Service Status page, please click on the "Drive F:" service > Click "Configure" tab > Click "Reconfigure this service" link
Now, please click "Search for Services in CCM" button.
Example picture:

Now, what do you see? .... you should see the page displaying the services (Config name) & (Service Description) .... right?
Please share this picture, if possible.

To upload image, there is a "Upload attachement" tab below this edit box.
Once uploaded, you will need to click the "Place inline" button to place (insert) the image to the line you want.

To send us your system profile.
Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Config" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and share in a private message or upload it to the post/ticket,
and then reply to this post to bring it up in the queue.

Best Regards,
Vinh

Not sure why, but the results from that are showing other servers with a Drive F:. Some are valid and some are not. But the server I did it from is not showing.

Can this happen when I use the wizard (Windows WMI) to do a server, and then when it completes, I say do another one like this and continue on with another server? Is it carrying results from the last import to the next server I do?

Hi,
Thanks for uploading the picture .... it make the debugging much easier ... :-)

On that picture you last uploaded, can you please click the "View Config" icon under the "Actions" column, which will open a new page.

Please copy and page that page here.

Also, please give me the host-name and services name/description of the one having issue so I can search since you have so many Drive F defined.

Best Regards,
Vinh

Sorry, one other thing .... :-)

Based on the picture you last uploaded, which displayed all "Drive F".

From that page, you can click the RED "X" at the right to delete any "Drive F" service you don't want.

Then remember to click "Apply Configuration" once completed.

NOTE, you must click or do "Apply Configuration" for you change to be effective (written into database).
