Hi Team,
We created a service "Server uptime" and added the same to all the hosts using "Add Service" option in bulk modification tool. but now when I see the service in CCM under services, there are 3 entries for every hostname.

Also, when I go to config File management and click on verify files it says up the below warning for all the hosts

Duplicate definition found for service 'Server Uptime' on host 'xyz.MEDINSIGHT.MILLIMAN.COM' (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/xyz.MEDINSIGHT.MILLIMAN.COM.cfg', starting on line 195)

Attached Screenshot too

Hi,
How are you doing?

Looking at the provided screenshot, maybe it best to revert back using the "Restore" under Configuration Snapshots.
Nagios XI GUI > Core Config Manager > Configuration Snapshots

You can restore by selecting the date/time of the one that has just the original "Server uptime" service you created.

Now, please create the new "hostgroup" (let call it unix-uptime-group) for all the hosts to want to add "Server uptime" to.

Once you have the new "unix-uptime-group" created, edit the "Server uptime" service and then add the new "unix-uptime-group" by clicking the "Manage Host Groups" button under the "Common Settings" tabs

Doing it this way, you only have just ONE original "Server uptime" under "Services" and it is way easier to mange when you want to make changes.

Please remember to do "Apply Configuration" when making these changes.

Best Regards,
Vinh
