Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.9 (Maipo)
x86_64
Manual install of XI -- running since 2019
Version of XI - Installed Version: 5.8.3

This question was asked in 2015 - subject line - "Quick Question regarding bulk modifications" -- just wondering if anything has changed. I'm wanting to change the threshold value for "warning" - across the board on my disks (windows and linux).

Hi,
How are you doing?

You can use the "Change Command and Arguments" feature from "Bulk Modifications Tool" to make change to a "warning" threshold if all the values defined under $ARG1$ (or any $ARGx$) are the same across all your services.

Here's one example:

From the example above, I can change my warning threshold from "80" to "85" for all my selected services that has exactly the same values defined for "$ARG1$".

Please NOTE that you must also select "services" before saving your changes.

Vinh

Thank you. I'm thinking there might be a way to do this live in the database directly, too?

Hi,
Yes, since all data are written to DB, you can make any changes as long as you know what table and field(s).

However, I would not recommend this .... :-)
