nrpe.cfg file resets to its default

Hi everyone,
I'm currently using Nagios 4.4.5. But I'm having an issue which I thought you might help me with that.
One of my instances keep creating alarms on nagios monitor and when I want to check that instance, I see that everything is working fine except nrpe.cfg file in that instance. I view that file and see that ALLOWED_HOSTS line has reset to its default.
Why does it happen?
