notification not send to all assigned contact.

hi team,
i have configured notification for a service send to MS.teams and email (4 ms.teams group and 2 email). But sometime it just sent to 1 or 2 MS.teams groups, not send to all group assigned. And the email never been sent.
We have daily report send from Nagios so the email configured work fine.
p/s: in wonder if we setup escalation alert, then it just send alert to the escalation, not to others?

Thanks for reaching out, want to go ahead and get the System Profile from you so we can see what is going on.

To send us your system profile.
  • Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
  • Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
  • Click the "Download Profile" button
  • Save the profile.zip file and send via Private Message

Thanks for following up with the System Profile, the highlighted alert was sent out to 'alert_LV1 and don't see that the 'bpvh_pXXXX_ms.teams' was included in the alert config.

Based on your initial posted comment you may want to take a look at escalations.

I have two issue here:

But my question is : if we have an escalation for any group, then it only send alert to escalation, not to the others?

e.g : i assigned my users (hltt + admin + dvht) to receive alert escalation LV1, and assign user BPVH to receive alert as well (not include in escalation). Then how it will sent the alert?
As my tried, after i disable escalation then it send to alert to all contact, mean it work fine after escalation alert has been disable.

2. System did not send alert email to any user. How to check for this issue?

Thanks for following, you are correct that escalation takes priority and will escalate up the chain. For example;
Help Desk Team
◦ First Notification: 1
◦ Last Notification: 3
• Help Desk Team, On Call Team
◦ First Notification: 4
◦ Last Notification: 6
• Help Desk Team, On Call Team, Department Manager
◦ First Notification: 7
◦ Last Notification: 0 (using 0 means to keep using this escalation entry until the problem is resolved)
You stated;

Using the example that is provided in the escalation chain you would want to use the same for your environment the first notification goes to Group A, and then second Group B, and then the last group.

Perhaps we need to group differently, but let me know,

oke let me do the test for escalation chain.

Pls help me how to check the email not send alert. Email config is work fine, it send report email to me everyday but no alert sent. Already assigned notify-service-by-email for contact

Thanks for following up, the 'eventman.log' will provide a list of emails alerts sent.

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagiosxi/var/eventman.log
Also; you may want to check 'soft' and 'hard' state types to verify alerting:

Option to send us your system profile so we can take a look to see what is going on:
