Just upgraded to 2.1.9 and noticed that when reconnecting after upgrade, it still tells me a "New version is available":
I went to Command Subsystem and triggered run_update_check, and that fixed it. It's definitely not a big deal (it would've run within the next 24 hours anyway).
I suggest though, that you trigger that task automatically (imediately) or reset the update check status after a successful upgrade.
