Troubles with graphs randomly flatlining

Any thoughts on what the issues are for this?
Flatline graphs have recently started and narrowing it down is getting complicated
NagiosVM CPU usage is constantly at 35% according to vCenter out of 8 cores available to it
Searching for flatlines brings up these discussions which has revealed some troubles below:
