Hi,
I want to make backup for my current Nagios XI. My question is that Nagios services needs to be stopped before backup (running backup_xi.sh) and/or restore (running restore_xi.sh) or not?
Regards,
Surachai C.

It would be best if possible to stop the monitoring engine before running the backup but not completely necessary.

Thanks for your answer. How about manual configuration? It will also be backuped and restored (by scripts) or not because I have a lot of manual configurations (monitoring SAP services) on many hosts.

We can't tell you where your backups are, because they could have been changed. Usually, they go to /store/backups/nagiosxi
