what is meant by Host check timed out after 30.01 seconds in nagios ? i received a lot of this alert and don't know what that means ? is that means my host is down ?

Hi Christien,
That just means the plugin did get valid data back within 30 seconds. In most cases, the issue is related to a firewall or network device blocking access between the Nagios server and the host you are monitoring.
Are you able to ping the host? What type of check command is this?
