What is the output from

Code: Select all

ps -A x -f |grep ncpa
If you didn't get an 8% raise over the course of the pandemic, you took a pay cut.

Hello @titien104

Thanks for following up, want to find out it there is any security application enabled like selinux.

Code: Select all

sestatus
Verify services:

Code: Select all

systemctl status ncpa_listener

Code: Select all

systemctl status ncpa_passive
Please gather the following and send '/tmp/ncpainfo.tar.gz' via Private Message:

Code: Select all

grep -Eir 'ncpa' /var/log/*  -A 4 -B 2 > /tmp/ncpalist.txt && tar -czvf /tmp/ncpainfo.tar.gz /tmp/ncpalist.txt /usr/local/ncpa/var/log/ /usr/local/ncpa/etc/ncpa.cfg
Let me know if you see NCPA listening on port 5693 (ss -t -p -a | grep '5693|ncpa' or netstat -an | grep -Ei 'ncpa|5693')

Thanks,
Perry

Hello @titien104

Thanks for following up and sending over the info to my pm inbox.

Let's go ahead and specify the ncpa IP address by replacing:
# ip =
with
ip = 0.0.0.0

Code: Select all

sed -i 's/# ip =/ip = 0.0.0.0/' /usr/local/ncpa/etc/ncpa.cfg
Then go ahead and restart the ncpa_listener service:

Code: Select all

systemctl restart ncpa_listener
Let us know how that looks,
Perry

Hello @titien104

Thanks, that looks good and verify:

Please post the output of this command from your XI server:

Code: Select all

nmap -p 5693 localhost
and

Code: Select all

sudo ss -tulpn | grep -Ei '5693'
or netstat -an | grep -Ei '5693'

Thanks,
Perry
