Log server with 2 nics not working

We have a log server that we set up in vsphere with a nic in our internal network zone and a second nic in our dmz. The second NIC in the dmz works sometimes but then deactivates for some reason. I go back in to activate it and it comes up while the activation process is happening but then I get an error saying the Base network connection was interrupted and it deactivates again. Is this just not possible to do with LOG Server?

I also just got the error IP configuration could not be reserved ( no available address, timeout, etc. )

What do you see in /var/log/messages when it deactivates?

What is the output of these commands?
