Importing into new Nagios XI install?

We are moving our Nagios instance to a much more reliable box in the coming weeks.

Since this will be a clean install, I'm wondering what the best way to go about migrating to the new box will be. The only documentation that i've been able to find this far has been related to migrating from an existing Nagios Core install to Nagios XI, which isn't entirely fitting in this instance.

Is there any other documentation that I might have missed on this?

With thousands of hosts, hundreds of services, and a number of other custom commands, templates, etc. I'm really hoping there's a relatively easy way to migrate over.

You need to review this document.
Hope this helps.

The best way to do this will be to setup a new XI install on the OS of choice, take a backup the old system following the instruction in
http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... -nagios-xi

Copy the backup to the new system and perform the restore outlined in the document above.

Once you have verified the new system is operating successfully you can decommission the existing server.

Also, you may want to take a look at some of our documentation on Boosting Performance of your XI server
