How can I disable all notifications for a hostgroup?

I have a hostgroup that has a collection of hosts, and on each there is a varied amount of services. I want to disable all notifications from anything in this hostgroup; all hosts and all services associated with them.

What is the easiest way to achieve this? I am not seeing anything useful within the bulk tools.

The easiest way would be to go to Home > Hostgroup Details:
- NOTE: I probably wouldn't do this method as these are runtime settings and will override what you have set in your CCM configuration and can cause confusion but it is an option
- Click the Hostgroup Commands button next to the hostgroup
- Click Disable notifications for all hosts
- Then click Disable notifications for all services

You can do it with the hosts through the bulk modifications tool but it doesn't currently let you select the services by hostgroup, only by servicegroup. I've submitted a feature-request to development for this on your behalf:

Code: Select all

FR: XI - Bulk Modifications Tool - Change a Single Config Option - Add the ability to select services by hostgroup
Please keep in mind that the decision to implement the enhancement is at the discretion of our development team.

No problem, glad to help! Let us know when we're okay to lock this up and mark it as resolved.
