Error: Invalid max_attempts, check_interval, retry_interval, or notification_interval value for service 'AJP Connection check' on host 'Jboss Cluster 1'
Error: Could not register service (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/AJP Connection Pool Prod Jboss 1.cfg', starting on line 14)
Error processing object config files!


I can not locate this service to update the config but still fails when applying the configuration.

How can i get rid of this or load an older working config?

This sounds like you might just need to know that the list does not show host name 'Jboss Cluster 1'. The entry should contain the correct service description 'AJP Connection check', but as services can be associated with multiple hosts and even more then one host group the list displayes the name of the config file that contains the service.

So check EVERY 'AJP Connection check' to see if it's the one tossing the error.

Sorry, i am very new to nagios.

I managed to find the service with the service with the search feature and I set all the options for alert intervals etc.. and that worked.

Thank you for that tip, it's interesting to know that the serch feature can be used in this mannor.
