Plugin with .cfg files

Hi all
I've downnloaded a plugin for my Nagios XI instance from here (https://github.com/riskersen/Monitoring) specifically the Fortigate plugin, check_fortigate.pl.
In the directory is a .pl file, a .mib, and a couple of .cfg files.
I've imported the PL as a plugin, the MIB as MIBs, but not sure what to do with the .cfg - are these to be imported in Core Config Manager > Import Config? Or do they go elsewhere? Or should these commands be appended to the existing /usr/local/nagios/etc/commands.cfg?
Apologies if this is a dumb question, but didn't want to kill anything by chucking them into etc if they're not supposed to go there!
Also I appreciate this is a 3rd party plugin, my question is about where .cfg files for plugins go in general, not specific to this plugin.
Cheers
Daniel
