Nagios check cummulation prevention

Post by Nagiusz »

Hi,

not sure how to illustrate the problem, but after mass force check of many services, e.g. after some network break down, the next checks are scheduled to wait their time interval and run. In fact this causes the next cummulations of checks when the check interval passes through, causing heavy load. Is there any possibility to make the checks running in some randomized way again? Just like when we deploy a new service, we indicate the time period and checks interval, and Nagios automatically sets the first checks not all in the same minute, bur rather spreads the checks in time. Mass force check seems to make a mess here. Any ideas?
