Parallel installation on same server

Hi
I have already searched the forum and also searched via Google for a solution, unfortunately found nothing. Therefore I ask the forum.
I use Nagios Core 4.4.8.
With it I monitor some ticket vending machines in our company network.
Now I received a request if I could also monitor lockers.
Since these are two different areas and also different systems, I wanted to install a second Nagios instance.
Is it possible to install two different instances of Nagios on the same server, i.e. different processes and different configurations?
Would it work if I compile Nagios with a different prefix at ./configure?
e.g. ./configure --prefix=prefix --with-cgiurl=cgiurl --with-htmurl=htmurl --with-nagios-user=someuser --with-nagios-grp=somegroup
Would this create a second instance or would it override the existing instance?
Thank you very much.
