Delete file /http.log

Hello,
I have the /http.log file which is 20gb in size. Inside there are logs regarding Web Transactions from 2020 to today.
I cannot delete the file as it is currently being written to. Can you tell me if by emptying the file I lose all the statistics that I can see on the console in Performance Graphs and Capacity Planning?
