Hi,

Currently my Nagios XI is running on RHEV (Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization) and version is 2011R2.4 (RHEL 64-bit). I want to move it to physical server and also upgrade Nagios XI to latest version. Is there any support for this task? or could you please give me a guide on this.

Regards,
SC.

I believe you need to review this document.

I would suggest, upgrading your current Nagios XI install to the latest version first, backing it up (as described in the above listed document), installing Nagios XI on the new physical server, and restoring from the backup you've made.

Hope this helps.

Do I need to stop all nagios services before backup/restore and/or upgrade?

I don't think anything will break if you don't, but it is a good idea to stop the services just to play safe.

You can stop nagios and ndo2db. No need to stop anything else.

Even stopping these shouldn't be necessary.
