NagiosXI Apply Configuration Deletes all BPI config

Post by glitchcowboy »

CCM Apply deletes all BPI hostgroups and servicegroups

Procedure
1. BPI : Sync Hostgroups
2. BPI : Sync Service Groups
3. Verify Hostgroups/Servicegroups exist
4. CCM : Apply Configuration
5. Look at BPI Host/Service Groups. All deleted.
6. Config Diff shows all Hostgroups/Servicegroups being deleted
7. All BPI services now show "Unknown BPI Group Index"
8. Resyncing Host/Servicegroups in BPI resolves the issue until next CCM Apply Config

Code: Select all

279	Automatic Sync Backup	-51 +7	View diff change 2023-08-14 06:19:02 # CCM Apply
278	Automatic Sync Backup	-756 +63	View diff change 2023-08-14 06:19:02 # CCM Apply
277	Automatic Sync Backup	+52 View diff change 2023-08-14 06:18:01 # Sync Servicegroups

Hi @glitchcowboy, thanks for reaching out.

Is this a continuation of the issue you were having in Mangled BPI config or something new?

Please send us your system profile so we can see what is going on:
1. Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
2. Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
3. Click the "Download Profile" button
4. Save the profile.zip file and share this in a private message and then reply to this post to bring it up in the queue.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
