Monitored SQL Server instance version?

From the URL:
https://www.nagios.com/solutions/mssql-monitoring/

Is there a list of supported MSSQL versions? My DBA team is planning an upgrade to 2022.

The Nagios Plugins don't show 2022 as an option. Stops at 2019 (Seattle).

Will the plugins be updated to support 2022 or should I inform the DBAs that they need to find a new tool for monitoring?

MySQL Query - vrs. 1.2.6 installed
MySQL Server - vrs. 1.3.6 installed
MSSQL Database - vrs. 2.0.6 installed

Thanks!

Hi @kevinmjacobsen, thanks for reaching out.

It is likely that MSSQL 2022 will work with the 2019 version setting. The Wizards are not locked into a version of SQL Server.

I will create an Issue to get 2022 added to the MSSQL Wizards and will research whether anything has changed that will affect the Wizards.

@lgute,

Thanks for the reply. I'll share this with our DBA team and if it gets added to the plugins in the future, we will look forward to updating.

We'll give the current plugins a test after one of the hosts has been updated and we will see if any issues arise.

Hi @kevinmjacobsen,

I have been able to verify that SQL Server 2022 does work when the version set in the Configuration Wizard is 2019.

Thank you, for bringing this to our attention.
