Alert notification when coming out of deadpool

Hello,

I have a quick question: a number of services that were in the deadpool still had their notifications disabled when they were removed. Is this expected behavior? Do the notifications need to be re-enabled by hand?

Thank you,

Hi @mbeebe, thanks for reaching out.

That sounds plausible to me (though I'd bet there are ways to modify the services in bulk, too). The deadpool disables notifications during stage 1, and then removes/deactivates the services in stage 2. If your stage 2 action is set to "delete", then I'd expect all configuration for that object to disappear, but if it's set to "deactivate", I'd expect notifications to stay disabled.

More importantly, what kind of behavior are you expecting, and what would be useful to you?

My expectation was that once removed from the deadpool, alerting for services and hosts would automatically re-enable. In our case, this issue was a one-off since we're no longer using the deadpool, but an automatic re-enable might be helpful to other customers.

Thank you for your time,

Hello @mbeebe,

I have submitted a feature request to add the option to reenable hosts/services once they exit the deadpool.
