I have an issue where an alias inside templates are overriding the hosts own alias. Let me use screenshots to explain:

The first screenshot shows the problem. Here you can see that the alias is not what I have defined on the host (shown in next screenshot). Instead this alias is actually inside a host template.
The next screenshot shows:

• The host definition
  The 1st template used by the host
  the template that the 1st host template uses

You can see the template that the 1st host template uses is where the alias is being obtained from.

Finally this is a screenshot of the host configuration file in the backend.

How do I fix this problem? It is occurring on more than just this one object.



Nagios XI 2011 R2.4 VM running on ESXi 5.0 Update 1.

This was a known bug that has been resolved in 2011R3.2
