For example when adding a new host or changing the name of a service check.
When you apply the configuration it does not take effect (the host is not visible or the updated service check name does not update in the webui) until restarting the nagios service using the cli.
Issue started since upgrading to 2024R1.0.1.

This sounds like a database password issue. I would make sure that the "user" and "pwd" field for nagiosql are correct in /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/config.inc.php.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

I would also make sure that the database values in /usr/local/nagios/etc/ndo.cfg are correct as well.
