Hello,

I have a temperature probe to test and I want to know if I can handle nagios with this probe, such as sending an email as soon as it exceeds a certain degree (30 °).
Does nagios manages any probe or probe each has its own plugin?
Is it possible to manage it without a plugin?

There are many different plugins available for temperature probes and they may be found on the Exchange:

It sounds like you would want to use SNMP to retrieve the information, and yes, as a service the check would be able to be configured to send an email when it reaches a certain state.
