Hello All,
We migrated to Nagios XI 2024R1.0.2, and since then, we have not been able to get Two Factor Verification codes sent. It worked without issue in the previous version. Monitoring notifications, etc. are working fine. We don't see the email attempting to be sent at all, either in the Nagios server, or in the next hop SMTP logs.
Can someone advise on where we should look to determine what may be causing the SMTP sending issues?

Can you advise what Distro/Version you are running this XI server on? I'd like to know what the sendmail logs say on the 2024R1.0.2 server side.

Just to be certain, when you say migrate, do you mean upgrade? Or did you indeed migrate your XI from one server to another? Did you migrate across different XI versions?

Hi,
We were on 5.9.x, and CentOS7, and did a migration to a RHEL9 based distro, and the latest 2024R1.0.2 release.
We did a fresh install, then used the admin migration feature to pull the configurations from the old instance.

This may not be the source of your issue, but it certainly could be and should be addressed regardless. Based on your reply, it sounds like you migrated across different XI versions. The required method is to migrate to and from the same version of XI (so 5.9.x) and then upgrade once the migration is complete on the new server.
If this is not what you did, please let us know and we can look into other possible causes.

Hi, yes, we migrated to a higher version.
