I have nagios core setup to monitor a number of hosts. I have a question about status=ok messages:

1: Need to find if Nagios sends out a ok notification if the root issue has been resolved or if it does this because there hasn't been any new errors in the last hour.

2: If the answer to item 1 is there hasn't been any new errors in the last hour, then how do I go about changing the notifacation to be based on whether or not the root error has been corrected.

'Anyone have ideas on this?

The 'r' notification_option should give you a notification on recovery. This should be in your templates.cfg.
