Our entire Nagios XI infrastructure is configured to use UTC. However, we have several checks that can only be executed during specific times (Eastern Time). Although we can offset the timeperiods against UTC this is obviously a problem during Daylight Savings Time when that time fluctuates by an hour.
I understood we can define "Eastern timezone" under System settings but would like to understand if any improvement made on the latest XI version about Timezone option for timeperiods?

I took a look at our changelog and I didn't see any inputs mentioning this matter so the current version likely doesn't have any improvements on this issue. If you would like to see what changes we have made you can take a look at our changelog. I will take a look at our issues and see if we have anything opened resembling this issue and if not I will make an issue for this.

Just to verify for the purpose of the issue. You want to continue to use UTC for your systems timezones but since UTC doesnt change for DST, you would like an enhancement to the feature to accommodate this?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, Would like to continue to use UTC for your systems timezones ( because we have different timeperiods such NZL, Australia East, West, 24*7 etc ) but since UTC doesnt change for DST, we would like an enhancement to the feature to accommodate this.

I'll file an enhancement request to implement daylight savings time with the timeperiods/timezones feature.

thanks , Appreciate it. Hoping , I will get notified when it is ready and available in XXX version for us to update. In the meantime, any recommendation to accommodate in the current XI as a workaround?
