Hi,

I would like to inquire about monitoring AS400 servers using the Nagios XI IBMi plugin. Is it common to occasionally receive null values from AS400? I’m asking because, although the IBMi plugin generally works well, I sometimes receive null values from AS400, which trigger alerts.

I wish I could be more help on this, but I'm thinking you might find more information regarding whether/when/why the AS400 returns null for certain requests from more IBM knowledgeable folks. I'm fairly certain that the plugin makes standard calls to that API on the AS400, and if you are seeing null in your Nagios check result, it is entirely likely that is what the machine responded to the call.
