Update MySQL8 on RedHat9

Hi, we recently upgraded our Operating system from RedHat 7 to RedHat 9. As described in NagiosXI documentation we installed a fresh NagiosXI and then we imported backup from old server. All fine now. The installation process installed MySQL 8.0.36 (previously we had MariaDB), that's ok, but now due to our company security policies we need to update MySQL to a version higher than 8.0.39
The problem is that from yum I have no available updates for MySQL, how was MySQL installed from NagiosXI installation? Was it included in installation package?
How can I update MySQL for NagiosXI?

Thank you
Matteo

Hi @giponino, thanks for reaching out.

Please backup/snapshot your system, before trying to upgrade MySQL. XI has not been fully tested with newer versions of MySQL, so there may be issues as yet unknown.
  1. Download the RHEL 9 version from https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/yum/.
  2. MySQL instructions for installing the downloaded repo.
  3. MySQL instructions for upgrading with yum.
When I tried this on one of my VMs, I did have to start MySQL.
