Hi,
I am having an issue with the host alias not updating see below. I have modified it from the Nagios Core Config Manager seen below. Please advise on how to change the Alias name in the first image?

Edit = realized that I forgot to add the nagios xi version: Nagios XI 2011R1.7

There was a bug with alias not being updated that was resolved in 2011R3.2.

what version of XI are you running?

Also, the correct way to update it is through
Configure -> CCM -> Hosts -> Modify

I wouldn't have jumped in except he is running 1.7, so I knew my old issue was relevant.

BanditBBS thank you. When I updated the record by changing the host name then changing it back it worked. Now to work on the SQL to update the nagios database with the nagiosql info.

As they said to me in that old thread, do that at your own risk and make a backup!

Updating wouldn't be a bad idea in my opinion. I never had an update go wrong, but again, that is just my opinion.
