I'm having a strange issue with flapping notifications on my Nagios XI system (version 5.9.10).
I've recently noticed a lot of flapping notifications for hosts and services, even though their actual state seems stable. For example, a web server might be switching between UP and DOWN states in a short period of time, resulting in a lot of unnecessary flapping notification emails.
I've checked the configured thresholds for flapping detection (flapping_threshold, low_flap_threshold, high_flap_threshold) and they remain the same as before, with no significant changes. I've also looked at the state history of these hosts and services, and sometimes they only have one or two small state changes in a short period of time, but still trigger flapping.
Is anyone else on the forum experiencing similar issues with recent versions of Nagios XI?
