Guessing, but it looks like your trying to resolve an nrpe check issue, server can't connect to monitored host nrpe? You're editing /etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg on the remote host? That means literally replace <Nagios ip server> with the IP address of the Nagios server. Then nrpe on the server will be allowed to talk to nrpe on the monitored host.
