Nagios XI on Azure VM

Few months back, I installed Nagios core on Azure VM. I have a network background, with no idea about coding and server configs. With the help of my colleague I managed to install Nagios core from Azure Marketplace. I was able to do basic monitoring (ping and uptime) on it for all my network devices in the organization. But I am unable to do advanced monitoring like real-time and historic bandwidth utilization of different links, errors on links, etc.

I have a requirement where I want to see the bandwidth utilization of Internet link during different days and times, so that we are aware if we are going to hit bottleneck.

Does anyone has done this kind of monitorings in Nagios core? If yes, it would be really great if you could share some document how could I do that.
Or do I need to install Nagios XI instead, and for that do anyone have the process to run a VM in Azure as I didn't find Nagios XI image in Azure Marketplace.

Hi @ElisabethTurner,

This is the Nagios XI thread, so if you want help with Nagios Core, you will likely have better luck posting in the Open Source Nagios Projects board.

XI has a much more extensive UI, with components, dashlets and configuration wizards to help you get setup. Nagios XI can be installed on these VMs. To get started quickly, you may want to try importing an XI OVA or VHD which have XI installed.
