Modifying Home Page Dashboard

We have an existing system, and has been running for a while. The "Home Page" dashboard everyone gets has dashlets that refers to system names that no longer exist and we need to update/recreate those dashoets and update the Home Page dashboard that uses them.
Where do I find this I can clone it, and create my own new Home Page dashboard, but doesn't update it. Or do I need to do this remove all the old out of date dashlets replacing them with new dashlets using the new server names and then re-deploy this dashboard to every one.
it won't let me delete the Home Page dashboard from any account that I could find (I am admin and I tried our local NagiosAdmin account) neither of these have the red x next to that dashboard.
I'm sure I'm missing something, tried searching but unfortunately Home Page dashboard gets a lot of hits and covers multiple areas. This likely was created by someone else no longer here at the company.
I've created lots of dashboards and deployed then to our users, so I'm familiar with the process, just don't see how to modify that specific dashboard.

Hello,
The Home Page itself cannot be deleted. You'll need to either remove or reconfigure all the out-of-date dashlets before re-deploying.
It is possible to clone the home dashboard by navigating to Manage My Dashboards on the left-hand menu, but this only makes a copy of the home dashboard and doesn't replace it (due to the Home Page having a unique "home" id).

For this dashboard are you talking about the home page for modern theme or neptune themes and are we talking about the default home dashboard that comes with XI? If you are talking modern, you can find the same information on the host status page and service status page under details. They look slightly different because they don't have a card behind them. For Neptune I don't believe we have that same chart elsewhere as it was a combination of the two with a new ui. You can still get the normal host status and service status dashlets in the same locations though.
That being said if these are the dashlets you are talking about they would have the should have the same information you are seeing on your home page so replacing them might not fix the issue. Could you give a screen capture of what you are seeing?

Replacing the dashlets is what I"m trying to do. I"ve tried to drop a screen shot (jpg) Into the reply, but the system keeps giving me a http error. Is there something special that needs to be do to make this work?

The max file size limit for attachments is 20 MiB, is it possible your screenshot is larger than that?

no, it's only 475KB tried from two different computers (one windows where I generated it) and a Mac (personal equipment) same unhelpful error on both. It just says Error, then the next line says http error. It's been long time since I've used phpBB forum, but many many years ago I could do that. Maybe because I'm still being moderated?

I'm speaking with a sysadmin about this, are there any other details in the HTTP error you're seeing that I can pass along for help troubleshooting this? Error codes or anything similar would be helpful. If you're comfortable with the network tab in your browser that may have additional details.

Network tab in web developer has a http error code of 403, in the response tab on that line it says

Thanks for the detailed info! I've passed this along to our forum sysadmin, I'll follow up when I have an update.

OK, it appears the original issue is resolved. One of our other admins who works more with Nagios was able to replace the dashlets on the page. Basically doing what I was trying to do, so I'm not sure why it wasn't working for me. We will have to replace some more in a few months when other VM are migrated to new servers so I'll get to try again then and see if I can determine why it didn't work for me when I tried it
You can close this ticket unless we want to keep it open for the issue about uploading graphics into the forum.
