How to disable Check for Updates for Offline Installation

We are in an air gapped system so can't directly do any updates. In the web interface under "Admin->System Settings" the "Automatically Check for Updates" is NOT CHECKED.

I'm not sure if there is a corresponding .cfg file somewhere with this setting or if it's just stored in the database. I did a grep through /usr/local/ for updates and didn't find any config files but could be labeled something else.

So how do we fully disable this? I have users complaining - and I have verified - that the system is periodically attempting to check for updates.

The other REALLY odd part is that after it appears to have "checked for updates", it indicates there are updates available. How is this possible given it has no connection to the internet?

We are currently running 2024R1.3. Again, since we are offline to the internet, we'd have to download the entire repository from Nagios (or get a tarball) to upgrade past R1.3.

Hi @AngeloMileto,

For security reasons, I would strongly recommend opening a support ticket. This will allow you to discuss more specifics of your air-gapped environment in a more secure setting. In the meantime, I would suggest taking a loot at your proxy configuration within XI, if that is involved with your setup at all.
