We are running XI 3.3
Is there a way to bulk edit the "Notifacations / specific contact groups" of a host or service? I am looking for the most efficient way to change the contact group on lets say all of the "disk space monitors" so that these monitors page the systems contact group and the remaining service monitors on the same boxes page lets say the web contact group. So, something to the effect of find all disk space monitors and add system contact group. to the Notifacations list.

If I am way of base with the methodology please point me in the correct direction

This feature is available in the 2012 Enterprise Edition, which just posted on Friday on our main downloads page. The bulk modifications tool in the new Core Config Manager allows you to change a single config directive for any number of hosts or services.

And how stable has this release been ?

Or more appropriately can you provide me with a link to the upgrade procedure from 2011R3.3 to 2012R1.0

As for stability, we've had XI 2012 in active beta testing for close to a month now, with a variety of users testing it out. There were no upgrades made to the Core monitoring engine from 2011 to 2012, just new features in the UI.
