I am trying to create a system backup using the we interface and the process is not finishing. To test I ran the backup_na.sh from the cmd window and waited to see an error or some evidence of an issue. No issue was found and the backup completed and appeared in the System restore page of Nagios NA.

So then I went looking in the /store/backups/nagiosna/ directory thinking only one backup would be present from the cmd I just ran. Nope. I saw 6 backup folders plus the tar file from the one I ran in cmd. What i found was that the web ui backups are not completing. I see in the folder of the unfinished backup of the var folder and nagiosna-flows.tar.gz. Nothing listed for the https or ldap or data or rules or anything else.

I gave the web UI option over an hour to finish even thought the cmd ran and finished in less then 10 minutes. Still not a finished backup from web UI button press.

What should I do to fix this or is this a known bug? Thanks for the help.

updated NA version 2026R1.2 on CentOS install.

I am unable to recreate the issue on my local machines, so when the backup seems to freeze from the front end what files do end up completing in the directory made in /store/backups/nagiosna. This may give us a little more insight on what step is failing. Along with this can you look in /var/www/html/nagiosna/storage/logs and check the most up to date laravel.log file to see if that has anything related to the backup. Let us know what you find and we'll try to help further.
