Hi
i have a production server which has nagios xi running on it...
what would be the impact if we change the Host name of the server?
also
we are planning to have 3 more nagios servers for monitoring
can i clone a new nagios server from an existing one....what additional precautions do i need to take in this case

This would be ok ONLY if you immediately entered your new license information under Admin -> License Informationmaxwellmiranda wrote: also

will changing the IP of server make any impact on the nagios server

The only place you should need to make changes if the IP changes is possibly in Admin -> Manage System Config

this is all set...
i have one more question on the license policy
we have purchased an unlimited host license....
due to the network landscape ( different firewalls) we have to set up 3 different nagios servers for monitoring the servers within the firewall....
will this unlimited node license cover all the three nagios production servers that we would be deploying for monitoring or do we need to have 3 different license........

The license is for one server, so you would need to purchase two additional licenses for the other two servers. This would total 3 licenses in all.
