Dear friends of the forum

I have a question about, How I could monitor specific servers within the network from a client?. The scenario is as follows: I have in my LAN configured nagios core and certain serversand I would monitor multiple clients. I own an ADSL connection with static ip.

Could anyone guide me with this?

Thank you very much.

Typically most people monitor windows hosts using the NsClient++ agent, and NRPE agent for Linux machines.

we're using for the most checks SNMP.
Just configure your nagios server in your SNMP Service (Accept SNMP packets from these hosts, and type in the ip-address of your nagios server - or - Accept SNMP packets from any host (rly unsecure))
with it you can do a lot of checks without NSClient++
