Nagios XI fails to install

Hi,

I've been running Nagios core for a few years on your SBS 2011 server with VMware server.

When trying to add the VM Nagios XI Demo I get a HTTP 12029 or 12030 HTTP error and the VMware Agent server crashes, and the new VM will not add.

Updated JAVA and set to default.

What else do I do?

How are you attempting to bring in the virtual machine\appliance into your environment? Are you importing the OVA or converting it with converter? To clarify, you are using Windows SBS 2011, and using the VMware Server, not workstation as a hypervisor? If so, that product was end of life'd in 2010 and should be switched to the Player\Workstation products or ESXi\Vsphere. Please correct me if I am incorrect in understanding your setup, and certainly pass along more details so I can help!

OK,

I was not aware that it would not work with VMware server.

We will change over to Player.

I believe, and could be wrong, that its more to do with our virtual machine being created with newer formats than server would support. However if you wished to run a CentOS\RHEL server and manually install with our tarball that certainly could work. Otherwise simply for performance and keeping up with current standards, switching to player is a great option!
