1: a - Yes there are plugins such as the following which can monitor temperature: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... mp/details
b - What aspect of speed are you looking to monitor? The load of the processor? Cooling fan speed?
c & d - Could you provide a little bit more of a drilldown on these?

2: a - There are not specific plugins created for SSD's as they follow just about the same rules inside an OS that HDD's use.

3: a - As far as bluescreens go, this would depend on if they are in a log file viewable to the logged in user, if so than there would be a way to monitor that directory / file and provide updates "assuming your system is able to boot back into windows"
b & c - On the note of "Windows hang" it is possible to monitor services and processes for failure, and if they fail to restart them automatically

4: a, b, c, & d - There are a whole host of Oracle based plugins as well as monitoring wizards located here:http://exchange.nagios.org/index.php?op ... ord=Oracle

5: a, b, c, & d - Do you already have hardware of software which monitors this gamut of things? Cable sparking "heat" as well as other environmental issues can be monitored by the Websensor EM08: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Do ... 08/details
