HI,

Iinstalled XI on a centos box all went very well I then added a number of hosts and services. The nagiosadmin password was not changed from 5dlfic on starting firefox today it reports that the nagiosadmin password is invalid.

How can I reset the password I have not entered the current email address so I will not get it mailed to me.

If you have 2009R1.1D or later, there is a script in the /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts directory that you can use to reset the password. Login as root and run the following command (replacing <newpassword> with the password of your choice):

php /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reset_nagiosadmin_password.php --password=<newpassword>
