User in Contact Group gets no information

My account was originally added as an admin. We changed the account to a normal user and added it to the contact group and specified what I can see but no information is being displayd for this account. We deleted the account and recreated it and still no information is displayed. We took two other accounts and did the same thing for them and information was displayed without any issues. We are not sure what to do at this point. Is there some setting we missed? As I stated we went through and did the same steps for two other accounts and it worked.

Thank you!
Allen

When you say "but no information is being displayd for this account" do you mean when the account logs in there are no host/services displayed?

Is your account a contact for any hosts/services?

We just added it to the contact groups. After logging in I click on host detail and no information (servers, host info, etc.) is displayed.

Did you apply configuration after adding the user to the contact groups? Go to:

Core Config Manager->Contact Groups->View Text Config

and see if this user has been actually added to a contact group. Then you can check which hosts/services this contact group has been applied to.

We checked per your instructions and everything was configured properly. Again, my account does not work but using two other accounts worked fine and everything was configured the same.

This is really strange... We can try solving this problem via a remote session. Please, send us an email to [email protected] and post a link of this thread in the body of the email. You can also put: "User in Contact Group gets no information" in the subject.

We have another user account that has the same issue. If you remote in, will this count as an incident? If so I will need to check with my mgr.

Thank you!

Yes the remote session will count as an incident, but if you would like to get the most out of it we suggest that you start the ticket by emailing [email protected], and then initiating the remote session if needed after correspondence, the ticket submission is what decrements your incident count.
