NagiosXI clustering

Post by wiproltdwiv »

Hi Team,

I am using NagiosXI 2012 R 1.2 edition and RHEL 6.3 OS. I have 2 node one using and application and second one as its database.
Now i have to do active-passive clustering of nagios server, but i have some below queries in which need your support. Please suggest.

1) Is there any recommandation from Nagios support for its clustering.
2) I want same link should continuesaly work in failover, with same IP.
3) How my configuration files available on second server in failover.
4) Which are the important files and folders should be available on second server in case failover.

Yes those documents highlight what you need to do in order to create this environment, what you will need to end up doing in order to clone the servers is to follow this guide, back up one of your xi server's then restore it to a fresh system, that way you will have two copies of the same configuration. The only moving configuration files should be the main ones, templates, hosts, services, commands, and other configuration files.
