Backend login to the Core Config Manager failed

After a successful install/login, I attempted to monitor an SNMP based linux machine and received the error:
"Backend login to the Core Config Manager failed."
I've followed the instructions listed in the FAQ to reset the credentials but to no avail. Any ideas?

Can you try to apply configuration once more from the Web interface and let us know if it fails again? Thanks!

I have done so several times since I posted that and it fails each time.
Something curious - As I'm sure you know, there's Core Config and a "Legacy" Core Config. It appears, the "Legacy" version works fine in that I can pull up hosts, services, etc. whereas the "new" CCM doesn't pull up anything when I try to check the same settings.
Not sure if it's related, but I did notice that.

Run the following commands to resolve the CCM issue:

touch /usr/local/nagiosxi/etc/components/ccm_config.inc.php
chown apache.nagios /usr/local/nagiosxi/etc/components/ccm_config.inc.php
This is a high priority issue that will be fixed in our 1.6 release later this week.

Do you have version 2012R1.5b ?
If so this could be related to a bug that was introduced in that version. Our developer are working for a fix to that and will be releasing a fix shortly

I have 2012R1.5. There's no 'b' on that.
