hi,

im planning to use nagios core and extend the web UI with java. how can i do that?? this is because we have previously extend nagios UI by creating and modifying the cgi pages. this has make upgrading tedious. what shall i do??

What do you mean by "extending the UI" This is not something we could necessarily help with as it is a completely custom feature you would be adding... and there is no clear cut answer to how to extend the UI with Java.. I would though, start by looking at some of the front ends to see how they tie in with the CGI's.. and yes, this would make upgrading very tedious, for the sake of sanity most changes like this are wiped by Nagios to ensure the monitoring environment stays as consistent as possible for those who depend on a lean solution...

We may be able to give pointers as to where to go or look, but that will most likely be the limit.
