guys how do I make nagios show me the actual minimum and maximum values in the performance graphs?

What device are you graphing, and metric within that device? I.E. What check's data are you graphing off of? Or are you speaking in the general terms of a graph only showing you the maximum and minimum value it has reached?

I am speaking in general. But default nagios averages the values you see on a given performance graph. Instead of nagios showing me the average "peaks", I want the "peaks" to be the actual maximum and minimum values.
For example:
If I am looking at the bandwidth of a site used over a 6 month period. And Nagios is showing me the average usage over those 6 months the number can be significantly different that what it would be if Nagios showed me the actual maximum and minimum values.

or put another way If I asked you how much gas you used in the last month, you could say on average I used 30 gallons.
But I want to know exactly how much you used total. your answer would be different.

For the MIN & MAX, it will be the actual MIN & MAX over the compressed period, it only really compresses the AVERAGES

What I mean by this, is MIN wil be the lowest low over the compressed period, and MAX will be the highest high over the compressed period

scott, scott, scott, scott, scott....
I must admid I am a little disappointed in you. After all the times you have answered my bonehead questions, I would have assumed that we had established by now that when it comes to nagios, that I am an idiot ...
It's cool, were still friends but next time I expect you not to talk to me as if I have a clue...
Speaking of which, Man, I got no clue where I would enter them values... help a brutha out. =D

By default Nagios XI keeps records of the performance data in all 3, MIN, MAX & AVERAGE, no changes should be necessary.

The settings for these are in /usr/local/nagios/etc/pnp/rra.cfg

However changes to this will only take affect for NEW RRD files.
