Cisco 881g 3G Router + Nagios Core SNR

Heya!

Has anyone any experience about how to pull 3G SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) from Cisco 881g 3G Router with Nagios Core? I've been trying to accomplish that for a few days now but can't seem to find suitable MIBs. I found one MIB for it:

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.661.1.3.4.1.1.2 (http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/ ... entGsmEcIo)

but with that MIB i only get a value of "-150" out from the Cisco 881g router and i'm pretty sure that's not right! :)

So if anyone has any experience and/or info about what's wrong, pleas help me! :)

Thanks!

If am looking at the right mib (the parent object that c3gCurrentGsmEcIo pulls from) this one reports on a fixed value if the snr is under -150dB:
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/ ... me=C3gEcIo
Specific Object Information
Type C3gEcIo
Status current
Range -150 - 0
MIB CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB ; - View Supporting Images
Description Generic EcIo range.
So I would assume that the -150 value is correct and you just have very little noise in your device's band.

Hmm.. I wonder if there is any way to monitor the actual "current SNR" value? Fortunately, i've managed to work out the signal strength but it would be perfect to have the SNR monitored besides that also.. :)

GSM/Ec/IO is about as close to SNR as you will get for that MIB. The oid you posted does report current values, but will not report values lower than -150 dB. You could just have so little noise in your band that the oid reports the lowest value possible.

Ok thanks for clearing that up! I'll try and see if i can "make" some more noise if the value maybe showed something different then.. :)

I think this thread is lock-ready. Thank you for answers!
